June is flying by! Since we’re cruising towards the end of the month, it’s a reminder that one of our town traditions “Clarence Day in The Park” is coming up. The annual town event returns Saturday, June 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Clarence Town Park (10405 Main Street). The event is proudly produced by Lions Club of Clarence, with the help of other local non-profits.
Day in the Park is actually broken down to three distinct sections: Rides in the Park, Bark in the Park and Music in the Park. Rides in the Park features 10 exciting rides, including a zip line, a 100 foot slip n’ slide, rock wall and more. Fun for the entire family. Bark at the Park is a portion of the day dedicated to activities involving dogs. There is even a costume contest for the “Most Patriotic,” “Most Colorful,” “Most Formal” and more. Music in the Park involves a performance by “55 West” beginning at 6:00 p.m. In addition to these activities there are lots of food vendors and other events.
New to this year is a special “Day in the Park” preview Friday, June 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will feature a performance by The Donnellys.
