At the conclusion of 2014’s “Small Business Saturday” a drawing was held at Goodrich Coffee & Tea that contained all the stamped passports from the day. Shoppers had their passports stamped at participating shops and businesses, which then made them eligible to win a Main Street Clarence Gift Basket that contained over $500 worth of gifts and gift certificate from Main Street businesses.

Deirdre O’Mahony of Clarence was drawn as the winner of the gift basket. We recently caught up with her and wanted to hear about her experiences of winning the basket.
Ms. O’Mahony participated in the Small Business Saturday passport program with her sister and brother-in-law who were visiting from Boston.
“She did all the stops with me. So the next time I visited her, I brought her scones from Goodrich Coffee & Tea,” said Ms. Mahony. “We had a lot of fun. Saw a bunch of different stores and got some Christmas shopping done.”
Ms. Mahony cited “having lunch at the Asa Ransom House was a special treat.” She also mentioned a box of cupcakes from Babycakes Cupcakery. Ms. Mahony added “My daughter from Nantucket enjoyed using The Family Chocolate Shoppe gift certificate when she was home visiting.”
You can have a shot winning this year’s Main Street Gift Basket by getting your passport stamped on Small Business Saturday. You can pick up your passport at Goodrich Coffee & Tea on Saturday morning starting at 9:00 a.m. Passports need to be turned back into the coffee shop by 3:00 p.m.
Ms. Mahony encourages shoppers to participate in this year’s passport program on Saturday, November 28th, “You’ll have a very fun shopping day. It’s a cheery experience.”
