Western New Yorkers annually flock to the Great Pumpkin Farm to celebrate all things Fall, making this harvest festival one of the largest and most popular annual events in the area – and gaining the Great Pumpkin Farm the designation of one of the Top Ten Pumpkin Patches in America by The Daily Meal, an online culinary resource.

Preview/Opening weekend for this year’s Fall Festival is Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 from 10:00 a.m. to dusk and features FREE ADMISSION, which includes all your favorite things to do: the corn maze, hay maze, magic show, Boo Barn, amusement rides and more. Other events and activities are available for a small fee. Guests can also purchase pumpkins, gourds, mums and stalks and visit the bakery for freshly baked pies, cookies, pastries, candy and cider.
Great Pumpkin Farm/Fall Festival Kickoff Weekend
Opening weekend events include the Buffalo Zombie Mud Run, to be held on Saturday,
September 17, when the grounds will be transformed into a 5K course with 13 obstacles and overrun with Chasers and Roaming Zombies trying to grab runners’ lifelines. Those who cross the finish line with at least one lifeline intact help save the human race and earn themselves a place at the Survivors Party!

Also on September 17 and new this year is the WNY Furtastic Pet Adopt-a-thon, which brings local animal rescues, fostering networks, animal shelters, animal hospitals and WNY’s pet loving community together under one roof to spotlight the adoptable animals currently in their care. This event offers a one stop shopping experience to potential adopters looking to “Fall” in love and bring home a new best friend. Every pet adopted will receive a free microchip and registration courtesy of the Erie County Health Department, and a goodie bag from TLC Pet Food.
Events Every Weekend Until Halloween

In fact, it won’t be long before it’s time for Oinktoberfest – coming up September 23rd-25th at the Great Pumpkin Farm. Oinktoberfest is the longest continuously running BBQ competition in New York State, and we will be covering this Main Street Clarence tradition in more detail in an upcoming Discover Main Street blog post.
The Fall Festival runs through Sunday, October 30, and guests will have their last chance to purchase pumpkins, cider and baked goods at the Great Pumpkin Farm on Monday, October 31 (Halloween) from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
