This September is really shaping up to be as lively as ever on Route 5 in Clarence as we’ve had some real talent perform in our up and coming music venues. National recording artist Craig Campbell had an incredible night of classic country music last Saturday at Nashvilles II. Quick note: if you met with him during the meet and greet your pictures are posted on the Nashvilles II Facebook page.

Last Tuesday at Murphy Browns, New Mexico’s own Isaac Aragon joined yours truly, AJ “AppleJack” Tetzlaff, and showed the crowd what he had to offer. Be sure to join me tonight and find out what surprise guest will sit in with me for Tuesday Blues-Day at Murphy Brown’s.

For one week only, Penny Lane Café has moved their Open Mic Night to Wednesday for  so as not to compete with the Bills game on Thursday night. It will resume on its weekly Thursday spot the following week.

Our featured musician of the week is Buffalo’s own Michael DiSanto. Michael will be performing at Brennan’s Bowery Bar this Friday between the hours of 10pm and 1am. If you haven’t heard how truly gifted he is you are in for something special. His style can be described as acoustic soul and 90’s era R&B. Of the many solo acoustic acts you will hear Michael has truly created his own unique sound. His guitar play is flawless and refreshing, his voice is soft and soothing, and the atmosphere when he plays is perfect for that ‘end of a long work week’ wind down. As a personal follower of his music page I can attest to Michael’s ability to take popular songs into his own mold and recreate the essence of their sound as a stripped down, unplugged style if you will, and it is very entertaining. You will truly enjoy this night out!

90West, Artvoice’s Best Country Act of 2016, will be headlining Saturday at Nashvilles II. This six-piece band can give you every reason dust off the old ten-gallon hat and put on your best Sam Elliot dress for country and western line dancing fun. You don’t know how to line dance? Arrive at 7pm for dance instruction by Jillian!

Finally, Nashvilles II has also announced Rodney Atkins will be performing September 30th. It’s truly flattering to see these impressive celebrities find venues in our local businesses and consider us for their performances.
