Kick off your Halloween with an early celebration of the blues at Murphy Brown’s where widely renowned trumpet, Jim Bohm, sits in with Apple Jack Blues. Get a taste of Chicago blues over a local craft beer and celebrate the night life with this week’s edition of Tuesday Bluesday at Murphy Brown’s.
Our featured musician of the week is local singer/guitar-extraordinaire Chris Squier. Aside from being a terrific family man, this ovation slinging classic rocker can really put you in mood to let the good times roll. His chords are clean, his voice is strong, and his song selection is upbeat and electric. Catch Chris this Tuesday at the Hollow Bistro and Brew, who resumes their music series this week.
Penny Lane Café has another top lineup with their Halloween party featuring the Mercury Blues Band. Local legend Myron Sharvan has perhaps the best blues/rock guitar around which when paired with Tim Grimaldi’s percussion, George Bidleman’s bass, and Denny Hayden’s vocals make the best sounding music in the Buffalo area.
For those looking to discover what else we have on the menu consider national recording artist Colt Ford gracing us with his presence at Nashvilles II. Arrive early and pick up some line dancing tips for a spectacular country night.
Steve Balesteri assembled his trio featuring sax/percussion Nelson Rivera and Sara Rogers on trumpet and vocals to bring Brennan’s Bowery Bar a spooky Halloween night this Friday! Steve plays everything from country and rock to rhythm and blues. With three years performing together this is a great act to catch and we highly recommend them!
