Being Thankful For Main Street Music

Stay warm this holiday with the hottest insights on the local music scene. Our small-town culture has once again evolved to include the raw talents of our community bringing entertainment into our locally owned establishments with a roaring buzz of support and jubilee throughout Clarence! While the families gather this week for the holiday, help them Discover Main Street like never before.

Our featured musician of the week accompanies Apple Jack Blues once again in his missiongd-funk to showcase the abilities of Buffalo’s greatest. This week we feature Greg “GD Funk” of Empress & The Royals with Amina Boyd. Greg has played guitar since he was 12 years old, and he has been in and out of around 30 different bands who often are in need of song composition, or his undeniably fascinating talent on a fretboard. What makes him our weekly feature is his expertise at tone. Greg designs tone algorithms for effect pedals and ali-c-spkrhas an extensive knowledge of repair and service work on tube amps and like equipment. Please see the attached photo for his contact info.

Also, this Tuesday at Murphy Brown’s is a guest appearance of Ali Critelli of the season II edition of The Voice. Ali was voted Buffalo’s Best Female Vocalist in 2012, and will soon release her single “Thankfully” on her 2017 EP. Lookout for her Blues/soul style to caress the fortunate audience over our critically acclaimed Tuesday Bluesday.

noah-mosesMain Street is once again graced with the presence of yet another national act and repeat performer in Miller and The Other Sinners this Wednesday at Penny Lane Cafe. David Miller has assembled the gang consisting of Deshawn D Ray Jackson on drums, Donta Myles on bass, Eric Crittenden sax/keys, and will even feature an up and coming harmonica Phenom, Noah Moses, who most may recall from his jaw dropping performances at Rock the Barn 2016. The vibrations of amplifiers on this night will tattoo the walls and memories of patrons who experience what Miller and The Sinners are bringing to the table, and will leave them with reason to be Thankful this Thursday.

Brennan’s Bowery Bar also gives patrons the excuse to stay local on this festive holiday gathering as Discover Main Street’s own AJ “Apple Jack” Tetzlaff brings his Texas sized blues persona to tap the feet of the many guests celebrating with Libations and Ambrosia this Wednesday night! As a one-man band, don’t be surprised to see shoes shuffle and heads nod as his classic rock influenced blues bring great times to our local watering hole.

With so many venues, and performers to choose from this week it is difficult to capture them all in our blog, but be sure to check out these other events listed below!
