Merry Christmas from all of your local musicians! Speaking of Christmas, what better way is there to celebrate the holidays after a long day of shopping than enjoying the garden-fresh menu at Penny Lane Café whilst being serenaded by Steve Balesteri and his enchanting Christmas set list? The families are back home and they’ve heard so much about our local music scene that this is your perfect opportunity to help them Discover Main Street.
In his weekly residency at Murphy Brown’s, AppleJack Blues has brought so many gifted players through the doors his act is becoming a must-see attraction on Tuesday nights. This week he is joined by our featured musician of the week, Dustin Francis of Black Widow. Dustin was the first ever special guest, and awed the audience with not only his stunning guitar, fretboard ability, and tone, but also with incredible vocals. It’s no wonder he makes the short list of repeat guests. If you’re looking for a Fender Stratocaster with tone range from country twang to muddy jazz his weathered beauty is a rare gem; Oh, and he’s got two!
Open Mic Night at Penny Lane Café has really heated up with the weather cooling down. The players turn to the indoors when venues find it hard to book bands because it’s nasty outside. Is this why so many big names take the reins at the Penny Lane Open Mic Night, or perhaps is Keith’s incredible vocals elevating the music scene with jaw dropping inspiration? Either way, we’ll continue to allow ourselves to be entertained every Wednesday with the donated talent of Open Mic.
