We’re in the stretch as the Winter Blues Ice Crawl approaches, and it’s time to go over all the key information you will want to have when you embark on the crawl.
Last Things First
Mercury Blues Band is playing the after party. That alone is worth the price of admission. More on that later.
What it Is
The Winter Blues Pub Crawl is a slow-rolling, bike-friendly party that travels by bike, on foot and by limo bus to a half dozen of the best destinations on this end of Main Street. We’re breaking up the winter blues with some good old-fashioned Clarence-style raconteuring, and Mother Nature is giving us sunny skies and temps around 50 degrees.
Where to go
Your hosts for this crawl are Paul and Paula Cambria of Gianni Mazia’s, 10325 Main Street just east of Shisler Road in Clarence. Mazias is known for their wood-fired oven pizzas and “food like momma makes.”
Tickets
Tickets are available on Eventbrite or at the door. They’re $15 each the day of the event, and if you’re lucky enough to buy before midnight Friday they’re available for just $10 each advance pricing. Walk-ups can purchase at the door.
Crawl Shuttle
Of course we would love everyone to bike this event, but we love everyone – even those folks that want a bit more relaxed method of travel. For you we have the Crawl Shuttle – a limo bus that will be running the two long spans of the crawl – from Gianni-Mazias to the Hollow Bistro and then back up the hill later in the day from Clarence Bowling to the Clarence Grille. Shuttle fare is free with your paid Pub Crawl ticket.
Check In is 3-4pm
Check in between 3-4pm at Gianni Mazias. Of course, Mazias is the first stop from 4-4:30, so if you are running a bit late no worries – we’ve got you. If you do get there early, Tom’s Pro Bike will be on hand with free safety checks. They can handle your repairs too, and will have helmets and other accessories on hand. Finally, if you rented a fat bike from Toms Pro Bike for the event, you can pick up your sweet ride and make all your friends jealous.
Drink Specials:
Every venue along the crawl route is offering a $3 drink special. We have a handy video showing what everyone is offering. Or why not just show up and find out? That works too.
Move As a Group
After having a few of these crawls under our belt, we’ve learned a thing or two (and not just about the dangers of the brown liquors). One of the keys is to move this party along as a group. Our venues are aware we wish to arrive together and will make sure waits are as short as possible when you need service. When you hear the cowbell, it’s really time to move to the next stop.
Make Friends and Share
Our crawl events bring people together who wouldn’t ordinarily meet. Make sure to make some new friends, and share those friendships on twitter, Instagram and all your social media with the hashtag #ClarencePubCrawl. Using the hashtag makes it easy to find the most fun shots later – and lets everyone else know what the cool people were doing 😉

Dinner and Afterparty
Did you think the fun was already over? Not a chance. At 8pm, it’s time for the afterparty. Fuel up with a buffet dinner compliments of Gianni Mazias, then it’s time to party those winter blues away with the Mercury Blues Band from 8-11.
Sponsors:
We wouldn’t be able to continue to hold these fine events without the support of our sponsors. Thanks to Clarence Hollow Association, Cortese Construction, Metzger Civil Engineers and Tom’s Pro Bikes for helping support a bike-friendly Main Street.
