Clarence has always been known as a place where private citizens step up and help fund programs that benefit the community. A great example of that is the 3rd Annual Party With A Purpose, to be held Friday March 3rd at 6pm at the Clarence Town Park Clubhouse at 10405 Main Street.
Tickets to the Party With A Purpose include food, beverages, an auction and live entertainment by Rockabilly performers Jake MacDavid Trio. Tickets are $30 each and may be purchased online at this link.
The event is the primary fundraiser for Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation (CSEF). “Our foundation raises money through community events to enhance the educational experiences of the students in our district,” said CSEF Board Member Catherine Fuchs. CSEF raises and invests funds to supplement state and local funding for public education in the Clarence Central School District, allowing students to enjoy ancillary enrichment in the arts, sciences, math, technology, applied career skills and athletics.
Since it’s inception, CSEF has made numerous grants, large and small, that benefit the Clarence Schools. Some examples include teaming up with Boys and Girls Basketball Boosters to contribute funding for two Shoot-Away practice machines, and providing a mini-grant to help Clarence Middle School produce a video Morning Show.
