Hats off to Anne Valby (artist, owner of Penny Lane Cafe) and Jaime Brawdy (owner, Canvas Salon & Gallery) for bringing art and creativity to Main Street. Last night, a huge, festive turnout for Ms. Valby’s artshow at Canvas Salon & Gallery (9520 Main St.) was a testament to the notion that the city isn’t the only place for art shows. For a few hours, Main Street Clarence was the reigning artistic hot spot on Saturday night. After the event, a mob of well-wishers made their way to Penny Lane Cafe (10255 Main Street) where the celebration went well into the night.
