Last month, we highlighted how important 2018 was for a bike-friendly Main Street in Clarence. At next week’s Beer for Bikes event, we’re going to announce our most ambitious series of free bike events yet. Beer for Bikes will be held April 28th at West Shore Brewing Company (10995 Main Street) starting at 6pm. Your $25 ticket includes two hours of open bar, music, a drawing for a Saris bike rack, a new beer release and lots of exciting news about our 2018 ride schedule.
You can purchase tickets through our Beer for Bikes Facebook Event Page. There is a convenience fee, but anyone who purchases online between now and next Saturday will receive a FREE entry into the drawing for the Saris Bike Rack.
Proceeds of the event will be used to fund our free 2018 rides, so please come out and show your support for a bike-friendly Main Street Clarence.
So what can we share with you? Slow Roll Buffalo – an affiliated program of GoBike Buffalo – will be back partnering with us in 2018. We are also working on free Saturday morning rides in the month of May to help get you on your bike and loosened up after a long winter break. And did we mention a new beer release?
One last thing: the Town of Clarence is still awaiting confirmation from New York State Department of Transportation that bike lanes will be included from Transit to Sheridan as a part of a planned resurfacing of Main Street later this year. Taking some time to come out and ride in these free bike events also helps show the DOT in a hard-to-deny way that there is strong public support for a bike friendly Main Street.
