This year’s notably never-ending winter is but a memory at this point, and the payoff awaits us in the month of July as Main Street Clarence gets to the meat of summer festival season. First up is Hollowfest, June 29th – July 1st, at the Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street. Now in it’s sixth year, Hollowfest sets out to be the classic Independence Day carnival you remember from your youth – complete with carnival rides, games, live music and a beer tent.
Oh, and fireworks. Because Independence Day unfortunately falls in the middle-of-the-week this year, you won’t see a public display on July 4th, but Hollowfest will offer up fireworks on Sunday July 1st at 10pm.
Local band Nerds Gone Wild will be plying their 80’s-themed act on Friday evening from 7-11pm. If you’re old enough to remember new wave music (we appreciate the irony of this sentence), they’ve got an act just for you.
Hollowfest is brought to you by the Clarence Hollow Association.
