Canvas Salon and Gallery presents The Artwork of Casey Okonczak on Saturday July 14th from 6pm – 8pm at Canvas Salon & Gallery located on the corner of Main and Goodrich in the Willow Square Plaza in Clarence.
Twenty-one year old Realism artist, Casey Okonczak, is kind in character and projects serenity through her medium. Gallery owner Jaime Brawdy describes Okonczak’s scenery as evoking nostalgia — taste, touch, temperature — a moment captured. With graphite and acrylic alone, she excels in mimicking memory while she tenderly renders everyday objects.
“I am particularly drawn to fluidity and the connection between water and paint, which
has recently become a common theme throughout my artwork,” says Okonczak. “Combining paint with water to create fluid paintings and recreating the consistency of water through detail profoundly appeals to me.”
The event is free and open to the public at Canvas from 6pm – 8pm, with complimentary appetizers, wine and beer served by The Hollow Bistro and Brew. A truly interactive, interesting evening to meet the artist and get a first view of pieces available for purchase. The Casey Okonczak’s exhibit continues at Canvas Salon & Gallery through September 2018.
