Plenty of Winter for This Year’s Winterfest

When you’re hosting an outdoor event, only thing you can be sure about with the weather is that you just can’t predict it. That’s especially true of Winterfest, being held Sunday from 11-4 at the Clarence Town Park (10405 Main Street), where features like ice skating and the sledding hill depend on the cold and snow.

The good news is there will be plenty of both for this year’s edition, the 13th time the Clarence Youth Bureau has invited the Town for a celebration of all the fun to be had in the coldest season of the year.

Schedule of Events

  • Mr. No the Balloon Guy 12:00-2:00pm
  • CHS Guitar Club 12:30-1:15pm
  • Kelkenburg Pony Rides 12:30-3:30pm
  • Charlie and Checkers 1:30pm
  • “It’s Magic of Course” 2:30pm

The event includes indoor and outdoor fun for all, with the always popular Siberian Huskies, a Bonfire, sledding, skating, food and music, and hayrides all day long. The Youth Bureau has a Buffalo sports theme for this year’s event, so you can take your winter game up a notch by wearing your favorite Buffalo team jersey.

So if you have some young kids around the house, or are just feeling young at heart, here’s a super-cool way to get out and enjoy Winter!
