This weekend’s warmer temps and rain have not helped preparations for the skating rink of the sledding hill, but when Winterfest gets underway Sunday from 11am-4pm at the Clarence Town Park (10405 Main Street) there will still be plenty of activities for your young ones to enjoy.
Besides the sledding and skating, there will be petting zoo, hayrides, a bonfire run by the Clarence Volunteer Fire company, and visits from the Siberian Huskies.

This year’s event has a Frozen 2 theme. Get your picture taken with Anna, Elsa and Olaf, and be sure to visit the youth bureau table, where they’re raffling off a chance to win Sven, the “ride-on reindeer.”
Indoors you’ll find the Star Wars Excitement Show, Charlie the Inventor Show, Mr. No the Balloon Guy, caricatures by Murray Mann and more. There’s also hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks and refreshments too.

Here’s a quick run through of Sunday’s activities with Clarence Youth Bureau’s Program Leader Anna Linde:
