When all you get for your hard work is lemons, it’s time to make lemonade.
That’s always been good advice, and it’s certainly been great advice this year, as public health concerns have curtailed business activity. COVID-19 has also forced the cancellation of many of the most popular events on the Clarence Summer Calendar, including the Clarence Chamber of Commerce‘s Taste of Clarence. To fill the void left by the loss of the Taste, which offered exposure to restaurants and other small business exhibitors, the Chamber is presenting something completely different – the Treasures of Clarence.

“With the Taste of Clarence canceled [we] still wanted to do something to help restaurants and merchants during this difficult time” said Amy Engler, the Chamber’s Executive Director. “Through brainstorming and determination we came up with the idea of Treasures of Clarence. This initiative gives members of our community the opportunity to support our mission of helping small business in Clarence prosper while being able to directly impact those same small business in a fun way.”

Treasures of Clarence is part raffle and part coupon book. Tickets to the Treasures of Clarence are just $25 and include six weeks of drawings for weekly prizes worth at least $250 and a grand prize of over $1000 in value. Included with your ticket is a Treasures of Clarence map, offering special deals from area salons, restaurants, retail shops and other merchants.
You can get your tickets online or by visiting the Chamber offices at 8899 Main Street. Tickets are also available at the Eastern Hills Mall location for the Bflo Store and at The Perfect Gift at 6000 Goodrich Road in Clarence Center. Drawings begin July 30th, so you will want to get those tickets now.
