Main Street Clarence Summertime Events


With “Day in the Park” happening this weekend, it’s a sure sign that summer has arrived. From now until to Labor Day Weekend there are a slew of events and happenings occurring on Main Street in Clarence. As a collective, these events are very representational of what makes Clarence, NY a great place to live. Here’s your guide for your summertime fun on Main Street.

Saturday, June 25, 2016 – 33rd Annual “Day in the Park” and “Bark in the Park” – Clarence Town Park – a ton of events wrapped up in one day. Includes fireworks.

Sat. July 2 to Mon. July 4, 2016 – HollowFest – Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street – three days of fun, carnival rides, food, contests, live music and fireworks on the 4th!

Saturday, July 9, 2016 – Clarence Hollow Historical Walk, departs from the farmers’ market, 10717 Main Street – learn the history of the Hollow with Erie County Historian, Doug Kohler.

Saturday, July 9, 2016, 12:00 p.m. – Bike corral dedication, Clarence Bike Path, Clarence Hollow Farmers’ Market, 10717 Main Street – enjoy a celebration of a new bike corral created by sculptor Mark Griffis and repair station on the Clarence Bike Path. Made possible by Clarence Rotary.

Sunday, July 10, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – Clarence Concert Association Presents: American Musical Giants, Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street – free concert featuring some of America’s most beloved songs.

Tuesday, July 12, 2016, 5:30 p.m. – Clarence Historical Society Annual Picnic, Clarence Town Park – bring a dish to pass, guest lecture too!

Thursday, July 14, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – Clarence Concert Association Presents: Clarence Summer Band.” Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street. – free concert with William Eicher conducting.

Thursday, July 14, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – Asa Ransom House Lawn Concert – Chris Maloney. 10529 Main Street – free concert on front lawn of Asa Ransom House. Bring lawn chair. Food and beverages available.

Fri. July 15 & Sat. July 16, 2016 – Rock the Barn. Fundraiser concert for Meals on Wheels. 9015 Main Street – two day concert that includes food and family fun. Rock and roll and country music. Celebrating its 12th year!

Saturday, July 16, 2016, 8:00 a.m. – Clarence Hollow Farmers’ Market Fire Safety Day, 10717 Main Street – special reminders about keeping your household safe.

Saturday, July 16, 2016 – 6:00 p.m.  – Art Opening: Richard Christian. Canvas Salon, 9520 Main Street – Canvas Salon’s art openings are wonderful affairs. Artist Richard Christian uses themes of literature in his creations. 

Saturday, July 16, 2016, 8:00 p.m. – Concert: Trick Pony, Nashville’s 2, 8166 Main Street – Western New York’s premier country & western nightclub features concert by Trick Pony. Opening the show Marshall Dillon Band.

Sunday, July 17, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – Clarence Concert Association Presents: “Star Wars/Fantasy & Fables,” Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street – enjoy the music from one of the most beloved movies of all-time. Free.

Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra at Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street – a glorious night of music from the world-class Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Free.

Cruise night
Taste of Clarence, Cruise Night and the Clarence Rotary Porsche Raffle all take place on Monday, August 1st.

Sunday, July 24, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – Clarence Concert Association Presents: “Opera on Broadway!” at Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street – a night of opera on Main Street. Free!

Thursday, July 28, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – Asa Ransom House Lawn Concerts – Magic of Course, 10529 Main Street. Free concert on front lawn of Asa Ransom House. Bring lawn chair. Food and beverages available.

Sunday, July 31, 2016, 7:00 p.m.  Clarence Concert Association Presents:  “Gypsy Magic” at Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main Street. Another free concert presented by the Clarence Concert Association.

Monday, August 1, 2016 – Taste of Clarence and Cruise Night, Rotary Porsche raffle, Clarence Town Park – a community celebration of Clarence’s restaurants and classic cars. If you’re lucky, you may win a Porsche in the Clarence Rotary raffle. 

Thursday, August 4, 2016, 6:30 p.m. – Asa Ransom House Lawn Concerts – Flipside, 10529 Main Street – One of Buffalo’s favorite bands will play this free lawn concert. Bring lawn chairs. Food and beverages available.

Saturday, August 6, 2016  8:00 a.m. – Clarence Hollow Farmers’ Market Chef Showcase & National Farm Day, 10717 Main Street – learn from local chefs and also educate yourself on local farms on this special day at the farmers’ market. 

Sunday, August 7, 2016, 7:00 p.m. Clarence Concert Association Presents: “Dancing Under the Stars” at Clarence Town Park 10405 Main Street – the Buffalo Jazz & Swing Band will have you dancing under the stars on the final summer concert of the season. 

Saturday, August 27, 2016, 8:00 a.m. – Clarence Hollow Farmers’ Market Butterfly Release – 10717 Main Street. – watch the release of butterflies during this fun event.
