We’d been out Christmas shopping and running other errands. It felt like a good day for soup and it was Small Business Saturday so we headed to McDuffie’s.
My niece, Sara Elizabeth, was providing the live entertainment, so that was automatically the highlight.
A close second, however, was the chili. It was thick and meaty with lots of beans, flavorful without being overwhelming.
If you missed out on Sara, go back for the soup – and for a pie. McDuffie’s pies are great to keep in the freezer for an easy weeknight meal.
