Canvas Salon and Gallery presents The Artwork of Matthew Palmo exhibit during an opening celebration on Saturday January 28th from 6pm – 7:30pm at Canvas Salon & Gallery, located on the corner of Main and Goodrich in the Willow Square Plaza.
Matthew Palmo is a self-taught artist whose paintings feature themes of resplendent light and vivid colors. His work includes abstract figures and animals, along with surreal landscapes which present exaggerated color and glowing foliage. Often his paintings are of a spiritual nature with good and evil images and apocalyptic themes.
Matthew created IndicatorArt Gallery and Studios in East Aurora where he features his own work and runs painting workshops for people with developmental disabilities.
The Palmo exhibit event is free and open to the public. Attendees will enjoy complimentary refreshments served by The Hollow Bistro and Brew, meet the artist and get a first view of pieces available for purchase. The event is just the latest in a series of exhibits of local Western New York artists at Canvas since the salon/gallery hybrid opened in 2015. Past exhibits have included works by Sean Huntington, Renee Oubre, Cathleen Ryan and others.
