Canvas Salon and Gallery (9520 Main Street) presents The Artwork of Judy Hodge on April 6th from 6pm – 8:30pm. This impressionistic series evokes the sensibilities of artists like Van Gogh with beautiful movement and color reflective of familiar landscapes.
Judy Hodge
“I feel the constant movement that seethes under stillness. I try to capture a moment, the way it feels to be there, to walk right in. The way the air moves around, the trees, the rocks, the water – touches my skin, messes my hair. These paintings are my prayers. My work includes allegory, abstraction and movement, and I am a deep admirer of The Canadian Group of Seven.”
The event is free and open to the public, with complimentary appetizers, wine and beer served by The Hollow Bistro and Brew. The evening offers an opportunity to meet the artist and get a first view of pieces available for purchase.
Canvas is located on the corner of Main and Goodrich in the Willow Square Plaza. Judy Hodge’s work will be on exhibit and available for purchase at Canvas Salon & Gallery through the end of June 2019.
